e're helping Ace in the City again with their Back2School back drive. Ace is a ministry in Minneapolis that mentors students so that they can excel in every area of life - spiritually, academically, and socially. One way they do that is by providing families with quality, affordable, back-to-school supplies at a reduced cost.
Here's how you can help!
- Jansport, Columbia, Coleman, Eastsport or Wildkin—Backpacks (NO WHEELS!)
- Crayola—Box of 16, 24 and/or 48 Crayons
- Crayola—Washable Classic Markers
- Crayola—Colored Pencils
- Fiskars—Pointed Scissors
#2 Pencils, Pens, Pencil Box, Pencil Sharpener (w/cover), Wide-Rule Loose-Leaf Paper, Wide-Rule Notebooks (70 page), Large Erasers, 3×5 Inch Note Cards (lined), 12-inch Rulers with Centimeters & Inches
Why brand-specific supplies? Good question! It has been our experience, and probably yours too, that some school supply brands are simply of higher quality and more durable than others. While we understand that we could stretch the dollar farther by settling for the low quality and less durable brands, we want to provide the same quality of supplies that we would for our own kids. (And sometimes, that means purchasing the brand-specific supplies.)
We will be collecting back packs and supplies from July 17th-August 7th.
